Today i just serviced a gent 3260 fire alarm panel and found a manual for it and when reading it i found that with a small black shorting link (comes with the panel but yet i have never seen one) and that you put it across the p4 or p7 link to put this panel in a one man walk test. Does anybody out there have one of these black links or know of something that will do the same thing.I think you are talking about old C-Tec conventional system, using jumper to make the link and set the system in OMT (one man test), it is not silent mode rather walk test, because alarm goes off and the system reset itself after few seconds in each time you do a test, but have never yet seen that with gent.
